Cacavei ( Cacaven , Cacavem , Kakavei , Kakaven , Cacuvem ) is a Timorese village in Suco Cacavei (subdistrict Lospalos ,District Lautem ).

The place [ Edit ]

The village Cacavei is in the northwest of the Sucos at an altitude of 303 m . In the immediate vicinity of the settlements are Cacavei Laiara, Maluro and Paihira . The village center has a primary school and a health center. [5]

The Suco [ Edit ]

Cacavei has 864 inhabitants (2010, [2] 2004: 879 [6] ). Almost 95% of the population give Fataluku as their native language. MinoritiesSa’ane , Makasae , Tetum Prasa , Tetum Terik and Makalero . [7]

The Suco is located in the west of the sub-district Lospalos and has an area of 50.50 km ². [1] To the north it borders on the Suco Leuroand on the northeast by the Suco Souro , on the southeast by the Suco Lore I . To the southwest lies the subdistrict Iliomar with his SucoFuat and the northwest of the subdistrict loud with the Suco Maina II .

Across the Suco flows from north to south of the river Paunara , which has its sources in the Suco Souro. From the west, here ends the originating within Cacavei flow Ainarauteu . At the southern boundary of the Paunara swings to the southeast and represents here the border to Suco Fuat. After hitting the Pirusoro on the border river from Fuat, he changes his name to Namaluto . The southern part of the border between Cacavei and Souro the river forms Vahurau . Once the border of Lore I reached it opens into the border river Tchino , which then flows along the border to the west and finally empties into the Namaluto.

East of the village center Cacavei are Choquiro and Vatalara , south of the city Tcharano ( Charano ). The places are above the provincial road linking the capital district Lospalos with Iliomar connects. East of Paunara are in Suco no major settlements more. [8]

In Cacavei are the four aldeias Laiara , Paihara , Sole Para and Tcharano . [9]

Policy [ Edit ]

In the elections of 2004/2005 was José Marques elected Chefe de Suco. [10] In the 2009 elections won José Marques . [11]
